How shall I dress for the congress?

During the IADS Congress Hungary 2007 there are some details you might know to prepare properly. The Opening Ceremony and the Gala Dinner are official evening, where attendants should dress in Formal Attire.
For the most programmes you should dress easy and comfortable. Hungary in August is very hot. We expect to have something like 30-35 celsius during the days, but evenings can be cold. Please take a pullover with you for the evening programmes, this might be usefull in some cases. As the Hotel is directly at the lake, with a wonderful beach, you all need swimming suits, and a lot of suncream.
For the GA and the Scientific Lectures you might need a mid-formal attire, such as shirts for men attendants.

What is Exchange Fair?

The Exchange Fair was reintroduced during the IADS congress 2002 in Sharm El-Sheikh/Egypt and can be considered as one of the most popular events in the cultural programme of the IADS congresses.
This “fair” is a highly amusing competition between all country representatives/ congress participants who are challenged to present their country in the best manner they can.
The participant of the IADS congress can present their country. Every country will get a stand, where delegates can present their national foods, drinks, clothes, brochures, posters, everything what is typical. We will also have time for songs, dances, anything that is about YOUR country. Please prepare, so you are able to tell us your special needs in advance, or at least at the registration desk ont he 6th of August.

International Bazaar
A crowded room with colourful decorated stands with posters, banners, typical food and delicatessen and drinks - people painted in their faces and wearing traditional clothes of their country, having brought music and even videos and being in lively discussions - is what you get to see and makes you feel like being on an international bazaar and gives you an unforgettable memory – the taste of having been on an IADS congress.
Also this time we are looking forward to enjoying a very lively exhibition with the vote of the best presentations.

No matter if we talk about an IADS member country, or non member country. Even if you are alone from your country, and this will be your first time at IADS, please prepare, eveyone is welcome!
The congress committee is waiting for your contributions and hopes to welcome many many countries to make this evening unforgettable.

During our coming congress there will ba a General Assembly of IADS. The dates are: 7th, 8th and 9th of August 2007. The General Assembly follows strictly the Agenda, which will be adopted at the beginning of the GA. The General Assembly is chaired by the elected chaitrman, who is usually the Immediate Past President of IADS.
Every delegate is welcome in the GA, even is she/he is not from a memeber country. Everyone one can listen and if agreed, also speak up at the GA. Delegates should attend the GA in Formal Attire or at lest a shirt and trousers, not jeans.
